Jim Himes, a U.S. Congressman representing Connecticut's 4th District since 2009, recently shared his thoughts on various topics through a series of tweets. Himes, who was born in Lima, Peru in 1966 and currently resides in Cos Cob, replaced former U.S. Congress member Chris Shays. He is an alumnus of Harvard University with a BA degree.

On March 20, 2025, Jim Himes posted a tweet suggesting the possibility of appealing a district court ruling: "Who’s going to tell him what can happen after a district court rules? Hint: ap*eal."

In another tweet on the same day, Himes expressed frustration by comparing it to explaining something complex to someone unable to understand: "It’s like trying to explain a bicycle to a fish with these guys."

Himes also highlighted his visit to Meals on Wheels, emphasizing the organization's impact and funding sources: "Got to visit the amazing people at Meals on Wheels yesterday. Deliver hundreds of meals to people who need that help every day. Almost half are payed for by Medicaid. Keep that in mind for next week." This tweet underscores the reliance on Medicaid for nearly half of the funding necessary for their operations.
