Jim Himes, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut's 4th district since 2009, shared his thoughts and observations through a series of tweets over several days in February 2025. Born in Lima, Peru, and currently residing in Cos Cob, Himes has been active in political discourse on social media.

On February 9, 2025, Jim Himes tweeted about the weather conditions in New England. He expressed his appreciation for the snowy day by stating: "Snowy New England Sunday!"

The following day, on February 10, 2025, Himes addressed political concerns regarding the GOP's approach to checks and balances. He remarked: "It’s bad enough that the GOP has abandoned all checks and balances for abject sycophancy. Should their overlord decide to ignore court decisions, he (and they, if they maintain their servility) will break our democracy. THAT is the Constitutional crisis."

On February 11, 2025, Himes commented on issues related to fraud within government programs. He asserted: "Zero fraud has been found. Lots of programs you don’t agree with, but zero fraud or abuse."
