Time to Let the Creativity Flow: Trumbull Health Department Holds Poster Contest for K-5 Grade
The Trumbull Health Department will be holding a poster contest for students in kindergarten through 5th grade to recognize the commitment of our school nurses. Students are asked to make a poster highlighting what their school nurse(s) does for them. Posters will be displayed in the school hallways the first week of school. All participants will receive a participation certificate. Contest winners will be announced over the PA system and will receive a gift card to Plasko’s Farm Creamery & Café.
“School nurses are essential to the health of our communities,” said Luci Bango, Trumbull Health Department Director of Health. “The Trumbull Health Department wants to acknowledge the important role that they play and their commitment to our community. All students in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to participate. ”
Contest Rules
- Use 8.5 x 11 piece of paper
- Make a poster that highlights what your school nurse does for you
- Write your name, age, and name of school on the back of the poster
- Submit to the Trumbull Health Department (335 White Plains Road), Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, by August 19.
