The Sacred Heart University men’s cross country team ended its 2024 season at the NCAA Division I Northeast Regional Cross Country Championships in Hopkinton, New Hampshire, on Nov. 15. Michael Mason led the team with his fourth top-team finish of the year, completing the 10-kilometer course in 33:16.28 and placing inside the top 200 runners.
This event marked the conclusion of Sacred Heart’s campaign for the year, providing an opportunity for athletes to compete against some of the region’s best collegiate runners. The results reflect both individual achievements and overall team effort.
Matthew Vene was the second finisher for Sacred Heart, taking 209th place with a time of 33:36.97. Owen Delisle and Anthony Esposito finished close together in 225th and 229th places, respectively. Demetri Franzese completed his first-year season with a time of 34:43.37, earning him a spot at 236th overall. Jordan Leon and Colin Trolio rounded out Sacred Heart’s scoring positions by finishing in 242nd and 248th places.
