Ronan Donohue, a sophomore infielder for the Sacred Heart University Baseball Team, was named to the Coastal Plain League (CPL) East All-Star roster this summer, according to a July 8 announcement. Donohue is currently playing for the Morehead City Marlins and was one of seven players from his team selected to participate in the all-star festivities held on July 6 and 7.
The CPL All-Star event featured a skills challenge and autograph session, followed by Scout Day and the All-Star Game, which was streamed live on FloSports. The league brings together some of the top college baseball talent from across the country.
Donohue, who hails from Melrose, Massachusetts and previously played for Boston College High School, recorded 37 hits during his sophomore season with Sacred Heart University in 2025. He achieved a season-high performance with three hits and three runs against Marist last May at Veterans Park.
“The Coastal Plains League is comprised of some of the most talented college baseball players in the country. Having Ronan selected as a CPL All Star is a tremendous honor for him and is a testament to all his hard work. We are all extremely excited for him and this honor,” said SHU head coach Pat Egan.
Donohue’s selection highlights both his individual achievements and the strength of Sacred Heart University’s baseball program.
