Sacred Heart University men’s lacrosse senior midfielder John Murray was named to the 2026 USA Lacrosse All-America Honorable Mention Team, according to a May 7 announcement by USA Lacrosse.

Murray is now the fourth player in Sacred Heart University’s program history to earn All-American honors and the third in the last three seasons. His selection comes after a standout season in which he was also recognized as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Year and received All-MAAC First Team honors.

During his senior campaign, Murray tied for first on his team with 33 goals and ranked second with 44 points. He finished among the top five players in goals per game within conference play, averaging 2.63 goals per game. Over the course of the season, he recorded thirteen multi-point games and scored three or more goals in five different contests. Notably, he achieved career-high performances with five goals each against Holy Cross and Merrimack.

Murray ends his collegiate career with a total of 92 points, including 62 goals and 30 assists. His contributions have established him as one of Sacred Heart University’s leading offensive players.

The recognition from USA Lacrosse highlights both Murray’s individual achievements and the growing success of Sacred Heart University’s men’s lacrosse program.
