Jim Himes, a U.S. Congressman representing Connecticut’s 4th district since 2009, posted a series of comments on his Twitter account in early February 2026.

On February 4, Himes made a pointed remark about the Cato Institute, stating, “Those FAR LEFT RADICALS at Cato are at it again.” The following day, he responded to another user with a brief reply: “No you haven’t.” Later that same day, Himes issued another succinct response: “No”.

Himes has served as the representative for Connecticut’s 4th District since replacing Chris Shays in 2009. He was born in Lima, Peru in 1966 and currently resides in Cos Cob. In addition to his congressional service, Himes holds a BA from Harvard University, which he earned in 1988.
