Jim Himes, a U.S. Congressman representing Connecticut’s 4th district since 2009, shared his views on various topics through a series of tweets. Himes, who was born in Lima, Peru, and graduated from Harvard University in 1988, currently resides in Cos Cob.

On February 6, 2025, Himes expressed skepticism about the persistence of truth in political discourse. He stated: “Eventually, the truth does pull on its boots. By which point, people like this will be on to their next lie.”

The following day, February 7, he commented on the tactics used by some to divert public attention. He tweeted: “They’re running low on the squirrels they’re hoping we’ll chase.”

Later that same day, Himes urged his followers to consider recent reports from The Wall Street Journal regarding the Trump administration’s impact on the FBI. He advised: “Read these two grafs from today’s Wall Street Journal. Then read them again. When the next terrorist attack occurs, remember what the Trump administration was doing to the FBI.”
