Jim Himes, a U.S. Congressman representing Connecticut’s 4th district since 2009, recently posted several updates on his social media account regarding current events and local recommendations.

On April 16, 2026, Himes shared encouragement with a brief message: “Good work guys https://t.co/tGCtpNyQcB”.

Two days later, on April 18, he commented on international affairs involving Iran and former President Donald Trump, stating: “Huh. Strait is closed again. The Iranians are playing the absolutely desperate Donald Trump like a cat with a ball of string.”

Later that same day, Himes recommended a local cultural institution to his followers: “You need to run not walk to @TheAldrich museum in Ridgefield. https://t.co/dhqsNnqXeb”

Jim Himes has represented Connecticut’s 4th District in Congress since succeeding Chris Shays in 2009. Born in Lima, Peru in 1966 and currently residing in Cos Cob, Himes graduated from Harvard University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
